Are you bored of the classic brownie recipe? Try a new recipe with coconut filling, which will give a creamy consistency. Although it may seem complicated, the brownie is easy to prepare, even for an amateur.
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- vanilla essence
- zest of one orange
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- a pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 4 cups coconut flakes
- 15 fl oz condensed milk
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a pan of about 8.5 inch with butter.
In a mixer bowl add the butter and the sugar and mix for 2-3 minutes. Add the eggs, one at a time in composition, stirring well. Incorporate then the orange peel and add vanilla.
In another bowl mix flour, cocoa powder, salt and baking powder. Add this mixture into the mixture prepared previously. Homogenize everything very well, then add nuts.
In another bowl add the coconut flakes, condensed milk and vanilla essence to taste.
Add half the dough in pan, then the mixture of coconut and milk and then the other half of dough.
Bake the cake for 45-50 minutes. Leave the cake to cool in the pan to before cutting it.
Serve the brownie at room temperature, with a cup of coffee.
